Some readers of "1 More Chance!" don't like to read the raunchier stuff. That's certainly their prerogative, though I do think that they miss out on the character development that occurs during those scenes.

I've tried hard to create a story that does very little for gratuitous reasons; even the sexual moments between the characters are designed to create either bridges (or gaps) in their relationship, depending on the situation and what's happening between them, beyond simply what they say to each other. This becomes more acute in the later chapters, of course, since the sexual tension in the earlier chapters is really just a peek into the ideas, predilections, and preferences of the characters before they really get to know each other as intimates.

My interpretations of Chie and Yousuke are as very physical, sexual beings; they approach sex in a very different way from any of my other couples. For them, sex is a way of communicating between each other, and they use it that way. And if you pay attention, you should be able to see the progression (and, in some cases, regression) of them as lovers throughout the story.

One of the fun parts of writing sex scenes is to figure out ways to convey the issues between the participants in a physical way, in addition to how they relate to each other. Tonal and emotional shifts become the norm later in the story, as you know if you've read. That said, I did wonder recently just how much sex happens in the story as a whole, and I was a bit surprised that it was less than I had thought. So I came up with this list of the chapters, and where the sex occurs in the story...mostly as a time-wasting exercise, but also to see how often I dip into that well.

Chapters are listed by number and name; the sexual activity and encounters are listed beside them. Where it says "None," that means either there is simply no sexual activity shown or described...or it's of the very tame variety of kissing, cuddling, that sort of thing. (In some instances, Chie will refer to sex after the fact, but those are after-the-fact descriptions usually designed to illustrate how horny she and Yousuke are or are not at that particular point in the story. For anything more than a passing reference, those are indicated as noted with the comment "briefly," not as "None.")

While some of these positions are physically demanding, I assure you that they can all be done, successfully, if you and your partner are of the right shape of fitness, the same frame of mind, and are careful with each other and respect each other's needs and desires.
